New Group Dungeon – The Iron Tower
The Iron Tower is a new level 78 and up group dungeon that lies in the heart of the Tarantia Commons district and functions as the climax of the epic story from Tarantia Commons. Players pick up from where the story ended in the commons between the conflict with the Wharf Rats, Crows and Daughters.
Veteran Rewards
The Veteran Rewards give players who have subscribed to the game for a certain amount of time a wide choice of different rewards to choose from. From exciting new pets to useful new equipment, the rewards are many and you have the power to choose. The rewarded Veteran Points also increase after every six-month period so even more points are gained the longer a player has been loyal to the game.
1 - 6 months : 6 points
7 - 12 months : 8 points
13 - 18 months : 10 points
19 - 24 months : 12 points
etc..
The Quartermasters NPCs, where Veteran rewards can be purchased with these points, are found in Old Tarantia near the Great Library, in Khemi at the harbor, and in Conarch Village near the Aquilonian Tradepost.
‘Recruit a Friend’ Rewards
We have now launched the recruitment program for Age of Conan that not only allows you to quickly bring your friends into the game; you will also be rewarded for doing so! The first time every new account that you have recruited purchase more game time than what is included with their client, you get 30 days free gametime! This gametime stacks and can be used with as many friends as you would like. And even better: if the gametime your friend is purchasing is for 90 days or more, you also get two months worth of veteran points and in addition a Bronze, Silver or Golden Ring of Hastening Winds depending on the number of recruited friends. Among other effects, these very rare rings increase your character’s movement speed.
Recruitment is fast and easy – just log in to your account through the billing pages at http://register.ageofconan.com and click on the “Recruit a Friend” button. Every person you recruit that upgrades their trial into a full version or registers for a new full game account, counts towards your total recruited friends!
Please note: The "Recruit a Friend" option is currently disabled due to some last minute technical issues that need to be sorted out first. But it will be enabled very soon.
New Seasonal In-game Event
Experience the ‘Nights of Lost Souls’ – an exciting new seasonal in-game event. Challenge yourself with new quests found throughout Hyboria, and reap exciting new rewards! Most players will receive a letter in their in-game mailbox which will start the quest line. The first task will be to talk to the ghost “Scholar’s Spirit” who is walking around in the gardens in Old Tarantia. By doing this, the quest can be started also without having received the in-game letter.
General
An additional resurrection point near the graveyard has been added in Tarantia Commons.
When your spells increase another player's mana or stamina, the chat text will no longer say you decreased it. Also, the text will now go to the correct chat channels.
You should no longer spawn with missing body parts after being killed by an NPC with a fatality.
Several world design issues were corrected in Old Tarantia.
Classes
Conqueror
Formation: Skirmish will now heal the players around it properly again.
Necromancer
Decay will now do damage to targets with full health.
Frozen Body should now properly increase the damage of Ice Strike, Deathly Blizzard, and Chill.
Since Despoil the soul is now a one point feat, the description will no longer refer to multiple feat points.
Herald of Xotli
Desecrating Essence, Lich Form, and Avatar of Xotli should have better working morph effects.
Raids
Vistrix
Reduced the cooldown of Vistrix's Bane.
Decreased the duration of Tartarous Vapors.
Fixed an issue which caused Vistrix to not reset properly.
Quests
Atzel's Approach: Players should now be able to complete the quest "Kidnapping & Torture".
NPCs / Mobs
Xibaluku: Iziel-Al'zeep now has a chance to drop Epic loot!
Black Ring Citadel: Fixed an issue which caused the Incubus and Succubus to not reset properly.
PvP Minigames
Capture the Skull: It's no longer possible to pickup the enemy skull while yours is being captured.
